Credit delinquency rate's positive momentum slows

The labor market hit the pause button in the third quarter of 2010, temporarily halting the momentum that had consumer credit delinquency rates improving in previous quarters, according to the American Bankers Association's Consumer Credit Delinquency Bulletin. The results were largely unchanged from the second quarter and the composite ratio, which tracks delinquencies in eight closed-end installment loan categories, was virtually flat, rising just one basis point from the second quarter to 3.01 percent of all accounts in the third quarter.
