Keating to hold radio interviews on agriculture banking

The ABA announced today in its Daily Newsbytes that its president and CEO, Frank Keating, will conduct a series of radio interviews today to remind farmers that communicating with their bankers is important in navigating this year's drought. Keating will note that banks, which are the largest provider of credit to farmers and ranchers, have a long history of working through ag cycles and remain committed to the agricultural industry.

The interviews will air on more than 500 stations in agricultural media markets, including affiliates of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters here in Oklahoma, along with Radio Iowa, Minnesota Farm Network and Texas State Network.

The radio tour is part of ABA's media outreach to demonstrate banks' commitment to their communities. Keating has conducted similar radio tours this year on small-business lending, shopping for a mortgage, elder financial abuse and banks' efforts to promote financial literacy.
