Do not call policy

Someone in Minnesota has been calling banks around the U.S., asking to be given a copy of their “Do Not Call” policy within five days.  Train your employees not to ignore this type of call. If a bank does not respond promptly, he threatens to sue, but offers to settle for several thousand dollars.

Attached is a sample “Do Not Call” policy drafted by the Virginia Bankers.  If your bank does any telemarketing (such as calling existing customers to cross-market other loans, insurance products, etc.) FCC regulations apparently require you to have a “Do Not Call” policy and to furnish a copy on request.
