OBA Convention set for mid-May

The Oklahoma Bankers Association 2024 Convention is set for May 13-15 in Oklahoma City, with the Skirvin Hiton hotel as the host locale.

This year’s convention theme is focused on the phrase “Better Together”, which has been a mantra of sorts for OBA Chair Bryan Cain during his year at the head of the Association.

Things will start in typical fashion on Monday, May 13, with the Convention Golf Tournament in the early afternoon. This year’s tournament will be held at Twin Hills in Oklahoma City.
Afterward will be a Emerging Leaders reception.

The convention truly gets going the next morning, however, with the graduation of the 2023-24 Emerging Leaders Academy, and a conversation with the OBA chair, featuring entrepreneur Harold Hamm.

Breakout sessions will fill the rest of Tuesday morning and afternoon, with the Annual Business Luncheon taking place between. American Bankers Association President and CEO Rob Nichols will be a featured speaker then, as well.

The day will end with a reception in the exhibit hall.

The final day of convention gets into swing on Wednesday, and will feature an economic outlook presentation from Chad Wilkerson, with the Federal Reserve Bank. A “fireside chat” with prominent bank CEOs David Rainbolt and Greg Massey will follow as will the annual PULSE sessions.

The convention will wrap up with the annual Awards Brunch, where new 50-Year Club members will be recognized.
