Sandy’s salutations

By Sandy Werner
OBA Chairperson

You may not believe it now, but spring is coming. The OBA events calendar is full of opportunities to learn and network this spring, but I especially want to highlight three upcoming events.

If you have not already signed up for this year’s Community Bankers Leadership & Senior Management Conference, set for April 7-9, I encourage you to do so. This is one of my favorite conferences because it offers great speakers and numerous networking opportunities. Plus, if you are a golfer (which my game would be for comic relief only) you have time to enjoy the game with fellow bankers.

As you know, the OBA Bankers’ Night Out program dates for the spring rotation have recently been finalized. No pressure folks, but our fall numbers were huge and it would bring me great joy to have the same kind of showing this spring. Topics we expect to hit on include hemp, marijuana (part II) and other current issues challenging Oklahoma bankers, in addition to great food and fellowship.

Lastly, I would like to highlight the Women in Banking Lunch and Learn on March 28 at the OBA’s Harris Event Center. The featured speaker this year is Natalie Bartholomew and her topic is “Navigating through Being a Woman in Banking in 2019.” It should be a great event.

Hope to see each and every one of you at one of OBA’s events this spring!

Together we are the OBA,

———– Sandy
