FDIC seeks public comments about bank merger policies

The FDIC is accepting public comment on its proposal to change how the agency will evaluate bank merger applications. Among other things, the proposal would broaden the number of competitive factors the FDIC will take into consideration when deciding whether to approve or deny applications. Supreme Court opines CFPB funding structure is constitutional

Earlier this morning, the U.S. Supreme Court released its opinion stemming from a recent case that the funding structure of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is constitutional.
